Is Blue Yonder Air Tours checked by the Civil Aviation Authority to fly introductory flights?

Yes. Blue Yonder has been checked by the U.K.’s CAA and operates under EASA Air Ops

What type of aircraft do you use?

We lease a Piper PA32 which is a large 7-seat aircraft; ideal for seeing some amazing sights on your
flight with all the family. It offers a large rear door, making easy access for people with mobility
issues; it is also less susceptible to turbulence due to the larger size of the aircraft. Unlike some
operator’s we don’t use tired, under powered, single seat well used “Flying School” club aircraft.

Can I buy a voucher for a specific date?

You can confirm a date and time when booking or redeeming a voucher. Please contact us for dates
which are subject to availability and serviceability.

How far in advance should I book?

It is advisable to book as soon as possible, however subject to availability you can book on the day.

Could I turn up and take a flight anytime?

Most flights are by appointment only and subject to weather. If you are in the area you are welcome
to give us a call on 07824510979 and subject to availability we will do our best to accommodate
you. We generally fly at weekends.

How do I order a Voucher?

Vouchers can be ordered online via or alternatively you can call us on
07824510979 and we can take a credit /debit card payment over the phone; you can also pay via sending the amount due to all vouchers have a 14
day cancellation period. Vouchers are valid for 1 year from date of purchase.

What happens if I want to cancel?

If you need to cancel please call or email us as soon as possible prior to your flight so that we can
re-arrange your flight to another date. If you cancel within 14 days of your flight date there is a £20
administration fee to rebook. If you wish to terminate your flying experience early (i.e. In the air),
then the Pilot will return back to the airfield ASAP, there is no refund to you or your passengers in
these circumstances and we do not accept any liability for any costs incurred. All vouchers are nonrefundable.

Does the weather affect my flight?

It can, all flights have to comply with CAA regulations. We only operate in the daytime and in VFR
(Visual) conditions. All flights are at the pilot’s discretion and aircraft/airfield serviceability, if your
flight needs to be cancelled we will contact you on the number provided to advise of any changes.
Blue Yonder is unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or any other expenses you may incur in
relation to the cancelled air tour. Rebooking will be subject to seat availability.

Can I take photos and video on board?

Absolutely, from your first class seat with the amazing views our flights have to offer it would be
unwise not to film or capture these memories, NOTE: Large telephoto type lenses may not be used
on the aircraft due to possible damage to the aircraft windows.

Is there a minimum age for children?

The minimum age is 2 years old and all children under 18 must be accompanied by a paying parent
or guardian.

Is there a passenger weight/height limit?

There is a seat weight limit of 146kg per passenger; Total passenger combined weight must be less then 495Kg, passengers must be securely fitted with a seatbelt. Seats will be allocated by the pilot on the day. If you have any specific questions please contact us. NOTE: Our 7th seat is a “Jump Seat” with limited views designed for a small adult or child with no communication station however a noise cancelling headset will be provided.

What facilities are at the airfield?

Both refreshments and toilet facilities are available on site at the Aviator Bistro including at 10% on
hot food and drinks as well as ample free car parking.

All vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and should be redeemed / flight taken before the last 2 months of the expiry date, any last minute bookings within the last 2 months of a voucher expiry date cannot be guaranteed due to weather or aircraft serviceability Blue Yonder in these cases cannot be held responsible for vouchers that expire, Voucher extensions may be possible for a small fee.

Do you fly during the winter?

Yes. We fly all year round subject to weather and aircraft/airfield serviceability some of the best
flying is in the winter. The colours are magnificent and the air is smoother.

What should I wear when flying?

The cabin is fully heated and cooled as needed so dress for your comfort on the day. NOTE: high
heels, flip flops are not recommended.

Are vouchers refundable?

Once purchased our vouchers are valid for 12 months and can be extended if needed for a small fee
of £20, but are non-refundable.

How long will my flight last?

Each flight is different but includes boarding, safety brief and disembarking. The Pilot has the final
say on all flights.

Can I choose my seat?

All seats are allocated by the Pilot prior to boarding. The Pilot considers the aircraft weight and
balance, security, passenger mobility, etc. However, if you are purchasing a single seat experience
and would like to guarantee to sit in the co-pilots seat (next to the pilot) this is subject to availability
and carries a £20 surcharge.
